Back in August I blogged about a shoot with Aly Paul. Well the March issue of Modified Motors came through the studio letterbox this morning with 5 pages and a small shot on the cover. Check out my original blog for more pics and a behind the scenes video!
Back in September 2008 I blogged about doing a "Sin City" style shoot. Well after seeing Cheryl Cole on the cover of the latest Q Magazine, Gemma Newman asked if I could do something similar.
I quite enjoy the challenge of recreating specific looks. Don't get me wrong, I love the freedom of doing what I like, but it's sometimes good to have certain style to aim for. In this case, not only did I want to recreate the look of the film, but also better my previous attempt!
As well as doing some Sin City images, we also got some other sets done in the 2-3 hours we had shooting...
I'm sitting here writing this feeling throughly ill and have been feeling so for the past couple of days. Anyway, yesterday was my first shoot in my new studio and my last shoot of the decade!
It had been booked for a while and despite how I felt, I wasn't going to cancel. I had the pleasure of shooting Vanessa from 'The Fuel Girls'. We had a great day and got some cool images. We're hoping to work together a lot over the next few months!
Had a great shoot last thursday! Gemma Massey called me because she had use of an Ice-Cream Van for 1 night only before it was crushed. I'm not one to miss an opportunity, so I headed down to Wembley.
The shoot was so much fun and we got some great shots which are up for sale.
Back in August I took a trip up to Birmingham to shoot Jenny Laird for GIRL Syndication. She was a great model and worked hard! Check out the pics and the behind the scenes video!
They say things happen for a reason.... well last tuesday we had a photoshoot arranged for Girl Syndication. The model had been booked a week in advance to arrive at 5pm. Well at 4:15pm she decided to cancel the shoot because apparently it was going to take her too long to get to the studio. As you can imagine, we weren't overly impressed by this, and as the make up artist was already en-route we tried to find a stand in model.
Enter Aly Paul... I've known Aly for many years and shot her a couple of years back. She hadn't modelled properly though for nearly 2 years due to various personal reasons. That said, she was awesome!!! She totally rocked the place and I'm sure we ended up with way better images that if we'd used the original model!
Just goes to show that good can come out of any situation!
